you have to think very clearly

So 40 to 50 think about,

how can you focus on things that you are good at

But when you are 50 to 60 years old

work for the young people

because young people can do better than you.

So rely on them, invest on them making sure they're good.

의지해야 합니다.

In the past 20 years, we make people like a machine

지난 20년 동안, 사람을 기계처럼 만들어 왔어요

in the next 20 years, machines will look like people.

향후 20년 동안, 기계를 사람처럼 만들 겁니다

So in the future it's not knowledge driven,

그렇다면 미래는 지식 기반이 아니게 됩니다

it's the wisdom driven,

it's the experience-driven.

In the past it's the knowledge-driven and it's the manufacturing-driven

and in the future it's the creativity driven.

The new technology is going to change every aspect of the world

So this is what we think the world should be focusing on

not only the IQ, EQ but also focus on LQ

But today I made it.

We keep on fighting, we keep on changing ourself.
We don’t complain. Whether you are successful or not successful.

계속해서 싸우고 바꿔 나가며

성공하든 하지 않든 불평하지 않아야 합니다

I find that when people, when they finish the job,

if they make a mistake and they fail,

if they always complained to others,

this guy will never come back.

일을 끝낸 후 항상 남을 불평하는 사람들은

성장할 수 없습니다

If the guy only check himself,

I mean I remember my first time in Time magazine they call me crazy Jack

알리페이를 처음 시작했을 때

타임즈에서 처음으로

제가 미쳤다고 했던 게 기억나요

and I, I think crazy is good

제 생각에 미친 건 좋은 겁니다

we are crazy but we're not stupid.

미친 거지 멍청한 게 아니니까요

Everybody is made unique and different

so you must have a unique and different way.

모두가 다릅니다

그러니 모두가 다른 방법을 찾아야 합니다

I think young people if my advice is to be an entrepreneur

don't be scared of failure, of setbacks

and don't give up.

사업가가 되고 싶은 젊은 친구들을 위한 제 조언은

실패를 무서워하지말고

포기하지 말라는 겁니다

When we start the business,

we had 18 founders including me

17 of them, most of them my students

and most of them...

Well, today people think, these 18 people, the smartest people in China

처음 알리바바를 시작했을 때

저를 포함한 18명의 설립자로 시작했고

오늘날 중국에서 가장 똑똑한 사람들이라고 합니다

We don't think we were smart.

Honestly,

we all graduate from the very poor schools.

하지만 우리는 형편없는 학교를 나왔고

똑똑하지도 않습니다

The only thing we did

we were very united, we all believed in the future,

we are all optimistic,

우리가 했던 건, 똘똘 뭉쳐서

긍정적으로 미래를 그린 겁니다

and we learn through mistakes,

we never give up.

실수를 통해 배웠고

절대 포기하지 않았습니다

If you graduate from famous university

please, respect the people who graduate from the poor schools.

좋은 학교를 나온 친구들은

제발 나쁜 학교를 졸업한 친구를 존중해주세요

Those people like us graduate from poor universities

please respect yourself.

자신의 학력이 나쁘다고해도

기죽을 필요 없습니다

We have chance

we came today to...now

We made so many mistakes

제가 여기에 서기까지

정말 많은 실수를 했습니다

people say, "You are lucky" Yes, we are very lucky.

We took only 19 years to today's size

사람들은 우리가 운이 좋다고 합니다

19년만에 알리바바가 이렇게 커졌으니까요

But we have gone through so many tough situations.

We made so many mistakes

that people cannot even imagine.

하지만 그 사이에 엄청난 일들이 있었습니다

사람들은 상상도 하지 못하게

많은 실수를 겪었죠

In probably 19 years, you have gone through so many tough experiences

and that will make you different.

오랜 시간의 힘든 경험을 통해

그 차이점이 생기는 겁니다
