I find that when people, when they finish the job,

if they make a mistake and they fail,

if they always complained to others,

this guy will never come back.

알리페이를 처음 시작했을 때

타임즈에서 처음으로

제가 미쳤다고 했던 게 기억나요

and I, I think crazy is good

제 생각에 미친 건 좋은 겁니다

we are crazy but we're not stupid.

17 of them, most of them my students

처음 알리바바를 시작했을 때

저를 포함한 18명의 설립자로 시작했고

오늘날 중국에서 가장 똑똑한 사람들이라고 합니다

We don't think we were smart.

Honestly,

we all graduate from the very poor schools.

하지만 우리는 형편없는 학교를 나왔고

똑똑하지도 않습니다

The only thing we did

we were very united, we all believed in the future,

we are all optimistic,

우리가 했던 건, 똘똘 뭉쳐서

긍정적으로 미래를 그린 겁니다

and we learn through mistakes,

we never give up.

Those people like us graduate from poor universities

please respect yourself.

자신의 학력이 나쁘다고해도

기죽을 필요 없습니다

We made so many mistakes

제가 여기에 서기까지

정말 많은 실수를 했습니다

people say, "You are lucky" Yes, we are very lucky.

We took only 19 years to today's size

사람들은 우리가 운이 좋다고 합니다

19년만에 알리바바가 이렇게 커졌으니까요

But we have gone through so many tough situations.

We made so many mistakes

that people cannot even imagine.

하지만 그 사이에 엄청난 일들이 있었습니다

사람들은 상상도 하지 못하게

많은 실수를 겪었죠

In probably 19 years, you have gone through so many tough experiences

and that will make you different.

오랜 시간의 힘든 경험을 통해
